Female Parakeet- Skye
Male Parakeet- Tommy Pete
Hello, new here.

I have 2 Parakeets. One I just took in last night. a friend found him in her yard but really didn't want it.

I have a female named Skye and a Male named Tommy Pete. Just getting Tommy used to us as he is the rescue. Getting his wings clipped today and then will be spending some time with him in the bathtub.

I have never had 2 at the same time so this should be an interesting adventure.

Hi there, and welcome to the forum. :)

Please make sure and quarantine your new friend that was found in the yard. Don't let him interact with your other budgie. It's best to have him in a separate room, and if you have central air/heat, the air vents should be closed.

Better be safe than sorry. :)

Good luck with your new baby.

Hey,
Welcome to the forum :)

Definitely take wendys advice on this...
Unfortunately i have seen first hand what can happen if you dont quarantine newcomers before they get to enter your flock..

Its just too risky these days not to unfortunately

But on a positive note lucky lil budgie... ended up in the right yard at the right time for sure :)

Hi,

Quarantine for what reason? I do have them in separate cages.
