Hello

Congratulations on your new baby! Sooo cute! The colouring is striking. :)

Thanks everyone!! Her name is Regal, we finally decided. Lol.

She is super sweet and really curious about everything! She doesn't want to "step up" but loves to be with me. She keeps a death grip on my finger. How can I help her learn to step up?

I take her in the shower with me and she loves to climb on the shower caddy and play with the curtain. All the products I use are super natural, but I don't let any come into contact with her anyway.

How often can she get wet? She stays mostly dry unless I drop water on her.

She's awesome.

She's beautiful...and I love the name Regal! Congrats!!!

My GCC takes two or three baths a day in his water dish. He just absolutely loves the water. Cute name. Looking at the pictures are you sure this isnt a pineapple? Cinnomons have green under the wing while pineapples have yellow. Other than that they look very similar.

She could be a pineapple! I've never had one before so I'm not good at identifying

Either way, shes lovely!! How is she settling in?

She's doing great! She loves to be with me! I'm

Congratulations!
1 - be careful with laundry room cage - chemical smells can be build up with all the soaps!
2 - with potty training: at first just put them down/away when they poop on you (obviously you end up making a fuss cuz you just got pooped on!) and they'll get the point soon.. Nibbler stopped pooping on me after just a few weeks. Everyone says learn their body language and I didn't get what they meant until I actually started to experience it. Nibbler loves to be on me (or anyone mostly) so when he squawks and tries to get away from me I put him somewhere over newspaper and he poops! We have been really practiceing with "anticipating" his pooping - so every 15-20 minutes we'll just put him down and say "go potty" and it seems to be working! Yesterday when I tried to get him out of his cage he started beak bumping me and squawking and wouldn't come out - he usually jumps out to me - so I just let him be and 2 seconds later he came out and dropped out a giant one (he doesn't like go in his cage) so to me that says he knows not to poop on me and was telling me leave me be until I poop!

Personally I wouldn't teach a bird to go on command. I don't think it's healthy. Instead teach them to go in a specific area.
