Hi everyone. I have recently joined this forum. I just wanted to hop on and say hi. I have a 1 and a half year old gcc named Theo. He is the best thing ghat every happed to me. He is so sweet. I would love to hear about all of your birds as well if that is something you would want to share. I also have a quick question my green cheek conure is around the age that conure will hit puberty and he has black tips on his back feathers is that normal for birds going through puberty that are maturing. He has had them for awhile but when we went for his wellnes check at our avian vet they said he is a very healthy bird. He goes for one soon again. I was just hoping I could get some input and reassurance I am a very paranoid person when it comes to my animals. It is like a zoo in my house. I will insert a picture. Also he is always happy showing no signs of illness , stress or deficiencies. And his diet consists of TOPS, fresh sprouts shop fruit occasionally, and grains, legumes, seeds and nuts (he does not get lots of nuts or seeds very small quantities as well.) thanks everyone! And here are some photos pf him just for fun😁

Hi and welcome! Your conure sure looks like a Patagonian Conure, rather than a Green Cheek Conure! Check out the Rickybird Scrapbook thread, one of the longest and most read threads on this forum and compare pics. Not that it matters much, but its nice to be sure.

His diet sounds fine to me, a good variety and for sure healthy.

Welcome to you and your beautiful Theo! I'm not well versed with conure plumage, some fine advice above! Kudos for your observations and diligence for Theo's health!

You might think Patagonian because of the eye shape but 100% it's a greencheek! And a cute one too. Patagonians are WAY more different. And bigger.

The eye shape may give you the impression that this is Patagonian but it's a green cheek! Quite a cutie, too. Those of you who are interested in electric scooters, hoverboards, or other useful gadgets might find this site Pickelectricscooter.com useful. You will enjoy reading it because it contains valuable content.
