2 cockatiels
Hello everyone

I'm a single male in my mid 40s
I live in Australia and own 2 cockatiels.

Shifty

And Rocky

Their both around 8 months old
I thought Shifty was a female when I bought it cos it looked like this.

But now I'm fairly sure it's a male.

I bought Rocky thinking it was a boy but it displays female behaviour sometimes so I'm not sure.

They don't really get along, always fighting but nothing serious. Shifty is the aggressor, wants his space

They're both beautiful birds! I have a female budgie named Rocky. I thought Rocky was a boy, but it soon became apparent Rocky was a girl. I don't care much about gender specific names so Rocky remains Rocky and the name fits.
Welcome to PF.

Thanks. Budgies are awesome.
My bird Shifty was formerly known as Sadie when I thought it was a girl. Now I gave it a gender neutral name. 😂

You can see a picture of my Rocky as an entry in this month's Parrot of the Month photo contest guarding her little bag of SkinnyPop (a popcorn snack for humans in the US). Lots of great photos of "naughty" birds.
