Hoarse chirp.

Tiki has a hoarse little voice tonight. We were working outside today and Tiki could see us and squawked all day. She apparently isn't a fan. We just took a warm bath and snuggled for the last 45 minutes before bedtime. I noticed she sounded almost crackley when she started her bedtime calls. She's breathing fine, eating, drinking, pooping and squawking fine. I only noticed it twice when she was stretching and flock calling. Anyone else ever notice something similar?

Welllllllllllllllllll... no expert here, butttttt...
In view of all her healthy signs, I'd give her until tomorrow before seeking medical consultation. In the Rickeybird's 32 years, he has gone hoarse from screaming a couple of times... during moving, for example.

We've had some nasty storms here lately which she squawks through and then today so I'm hoping it's just a day like we all get now and then. She's acting completely like herself. Went totally bonkers for her favorite treat and all

We moved from New Mexico to Ohio about 15 years ago. My husband drove the U-Haul plus towed a car, while I drove the other car with the animals... a cat, a dog (both in the back seat) and the bird in front in his travel carrier. He screamed words and babble all the way, filling that car with blood-curdling, echoing, endless noise. On day 3 of the 4-day trip he was hoarse, and the other three of us were RELIEVED.

Oh no! I can't imagine days of that. Tiki will call out and squawk the whole way home after we've been visiting somewhere else for a day and i thought that was headache inducing!

This morning Tiki sounded pretty much the same. A little crackly when she stretched. She wasn't really interested in waking up at 6am today though, but we all get a case of the Mondays in our house.

I'm going to try again with the hot shower tonight. She loves the steam. She yawns, fluffs up and just closes her little eyes and relaxes.

Rickeybird is so handsome by the way!
