Hi everyone!
Berry is acting a bit hormonal at the moment, and Iām not sure why. She has been squatting low on her perch (or on my shoulder!), emitting soft little sounds while trembling a bit. From all my research, this means that sheās broody and wanting to mate.
Her environment hasnāt changed (sheās never had a nesting box or any other nook or cranny to lay), and she isnāt performing any nesting behaviour.
All the advice Iāve found suggests that one should avoid touching a broody female on her back and only focus on head scratches while she goes through this hormonal phase.
Is there anything else I can do to prevent any more hormonal behaviour?
