hot feet ?

Hey everybody

Just a quick question. Recently i have been noticing that Echos feet are getting extremely warm. He would be sitting on my shoulder or leg and and suddenly i just feel his feet which are pretty warm to the point that i can feel them through my shirt and pants. I've been searching, and everyone says that feet getting hot is normal and it means that they are happy and relaxed , i just wanted to make sure and ask you guys. So is it normal ?

I have experienced the same with Diesel, and I did some research. Although I stress I am NO expert, nor a vet, I think this is a good sign. I read that when birds get stressed they reduce blood-flow to the feet to provide extra oxygen to muscles and key organs (survival mode) and also this heat is a way to temperature regulate. Plus of course the little loves don't have sweat glands. So warm feet should be a good sign.

Diesel sometimes has a warm beak as well, usually after he has had a little nap.

When our mac gets hot feet it's a sign that she's getting hot. I keep the house on the warm side and some times when we hold her she gets too warm, feet and beak get hot and at times will pant. We just put her back on her play gym or turn on the fan to cool her down.

Yeah thanks. I just talked my my vet and that's what he said . Well i think thats what he said seeing as he used all these technical terms and i just nodded my headed and pretended to understand exactly what he was saying
