How does your bird react to bird sounds?
I was sitting watching Crocodile Dundee and Larry (my green cheek) was on my shoulder. Right near the beginning of the movie after Dundee and the woman leave the bar, they are driving in the outback and there is the sounds of birds having a squabble or something. When those bird sounds came on rather suddenly Larry went NUTZ :) He ran down to my knee and started looking around, very serious. I think he was startled and was looking for those birds.
The same thing happened one day when he was playing on his cage near the screen door. A couple of birds landed outside and had a 'squabble' (don't know if they were mating or what) but that time he freaked out, jumped and came to me as fast as he could, looking around frantically towards the door. He obviously wanted protection but at the same time he was interested to know what was happening. It was pretty funny :)

My conures don't really care, honestly. LOL. I can play whatever youtube videos I want and they just carry on with whatever they are doing.

Pascal, on the other hand, if he hears a sun conure or sees one he goes nuts. He used to share a cage with one before I got him, so I think it's the only sound he really recognizes. :)

HATES them! But my budgies like it.

They usually don't freak out with noises. Even around 4th of July they were fine. Only one HUGE boom set Griffin off because it sounded extra close. Bird noises I'm not sure. It seems like when I've watched YouTube with birds they may look and perk up an ear, but no one goes crazy. Then there's Robin who's been alive so long that hardly anything bothers him.

Mine go crazy...especially Sassy! I have had to turn the sound down on some youtube videos of birds.

Kiwi - Parrotlet, hates clapping hands, snapping, the crinkling of paper. You get the idea. She will go into a major BIRDZILLA tantrum.

Rio - Senegal, doesn't mind noises, and will mimics a lot of what she hears, even Kiwi during her BIRDZILLA tantrum. She mimics Kiwi perfectly, head shake and all. The only thing hat really freaks Rio out is unfamiliar large objects.

Sootie is very much like your Larry- she gets excited and starts looking around for the other bird. Once I was wathing a youtube video of some conures, she came waddling over and ran right up licking the screen, then kept running behind my laptop screen looking for them.

Trixie goes crazy with parrot sounds on YouTube and Sunny begins squawking as well. They love parrot calls and music.

They both love dancing to the beat of pop music.

Sounds of any kind don't seem to bother, excite or get any kind of reaction from Kiwi. About the only thing I can think of that gets any reaction at all is the noises the "aliens" make in the movie District 9. He absolutely LOVES those aliens and chats up a storm right back at them. I think he may have found his true species lololol :D

I only every hear my Jenday make a peep when other birds make noise. But he only responds to parrots. Such as the cockatoos and galahs that visit the almond tree outside my window, which is where his cage is situated.

They're not his species, though, which I find strange. But maybe all birds can secretly communicate between species, hehe.

I have 9 birds so when they hear bird sounds or different sounds they get louder and some start screaming, lol

Ha! Louise my BFA has a personal vandetta against a Bluejay. She'll get on the windowsill and shriek birdy cuss words and the Bluejay perches on the horse trailer and gives it right back.

Meanwhile Barney the DYA is calmly sunning herself on another windowsill and she gets buzzed by various humming birds (I think her yellow head attracts them). Having a feathered green bird darting toward her is just a bit too much for my little Diva. She yelps and falls off the windowsill. Sometimes she'll hide in the sink which is under the window until she thinks the bird is gone.

Oddly both birds ignore the Mockingbird who sings at all hours day and night. And they don't care about anything on TV, but if I replay a video of them having a good time they really get loud and party right along.

This morning 'mockingbird' by the beatles came on the radio and Larry started making noise when the bird sounds came on. lol :)

My gcc was so fond of other birds that I had to get companions for him. He wanted to make friends with all the wild birds when he was outside on his little tree. Now I have 5 different birds, and thankfully they all get along very well. :) They still love the wild birds and always answer their calls.
