How often should I clip my GCC wings..... also a pic of kiwi

When I got my GCC his wings were clipped its been about two weeks how often should I get his wings clipped? I have a dog so I don't want him flying out of my room....

I think it's different for every bird. I've had my GCC since February and haven't had to re-clip. I would just get him used to you occasionally spreading out his wings to check the feathers there.

It will depend on the individual - but generally its in the range of several months I believe.

Just watch his behavior and you'll see when he starts being able to fly a bit again.

I also second Emily's suggestion to get him used to having his wings spread and handled a little - future clippings will go that much smoother then.
