I've always wondered if the CITES treaty (conservation in trade of exotic species) allows for EXPORT of legally owned and raised in captivity species from the United States to other countries. I live in Jacksonville Florida USA. Just south of our fair city is a furniture store on the corner of US1 (Phillips Highway) and CR210. This furniture store is called Duprees. (spelling?) The woman who runs the store is rather well off and raises many species of macaws and even Toucans in nearby Palm Valley. In the back of the store is a very large cage where she is handfeeding Hyacinth chicks every two hours. Last time I was down there she had a hen chick that was almost 2 years old she wanted $10,000 for and she said she had male chicks for $8,500 This is NOT a scam and you might be able to google this place and get a phone number and contact her to find what legal paperwork might be arranged to obtain a Hy and send it to England if that is even possible...Al
