Is it big enough? I figured it is more than what is needed...but I want her to have plenty of room

What kind of bird? Looks like a conure in your profile photo.

Never mind reading your other post now.

It's a very roomy cage, yes, but IMHO it's meant as a flight cage for little birds (canaries, finches, budgies, cockatiels, lovebirds). A sun conure's beak could potentially do some damage to the bars since they are thin and bend easily.

Oh I hope not...it was adversed as a parrot, chinchilla cage. She does have the opportunity to come out...she just won't go more than sit in the door right now....she never picks her current cage. I just want her to have room for toys and such

Ditto.

I had this cage for my budgies-- it's perfect for tiny parrots, but the bar thickness is too flimsy for anything larger than a cockatiel.

She's a Sun conure.....is it gonna be ok? she never picks at her cage. I guess I will have to wait and see :(

I guess you'll just have to wait and see.... I would zip-tie all of the side doors shut though since they'd be easy for her to push open-- my budgies could push them open

Exactly what Wendy and Shirre said!!! My pet peeve (please don't take it personally, you didn't know ;)) but SO many people get "flight cages" for parrots, when they're meant to be for SMALL birds like finches, or budgies, up to a bird with maybe a cockatiel sized beak.

The reason is, the bars in a flight cage are so thin, that as stated above, a parrot could do some damage to the cage (perhaps making it unsafe) by bending the bars or breaking the welds.

I hope your Sun is not inclined to do that, and is fine with it :). Otherwise, you'll just have to get another cage, then get another smaller bird for that cage lol!

Well. It arrived a day early and we love it!!! The bars really aren't any smaller than the other cage. they just look like it in a photo
