I made my brother cry!

But it was with joy. I reckon the only reason he stays at my house is because of my birds. The reason I love birds, is because my Mum did. Now my mum is a pretty awesome lady who has been to hell and back, and is currently not working due to needed an extended 'mental health' break. She wont be back to 100% for a fair while. She desperately wanted a baby bird again, but didnt have the money.

So I gave them a baby cockateil for his 11th her 40th combined, with her knowledge but without his.

We handed him the box, and he did the polite smile thankyou thing, and when he heard the bird move, he burst into tears. We knew he wanted one, we didn't know he wanted one that bad!!

lol he's so good with her, she is a baby and scared of humans so mum has taken over most of the training, but Michael will spend 15mins before and after school with a book in one had and his other hand in the cage, and now the bird (I cant remember what they called her) will sit quitely on his hand in the cage. Shes a real character, she gets hyperactive and does a little dance and squark whenever she wants out. She loves walking around the floor, but shes not allowed out too often yet becuause getting her back in the cage is stressful for both the bird and the humans
