He was playing around with trying to figure out how to close his own cage door. I always leave the door open when he's out. In case he wants water, play or whatever. Lately, I have been giving him a raw mini carrot when I leave, or when he goes to bed.
Anyway, he was playing with the door like he was trying to close it, but every time he let go it would open up slightly. So I asked him if he was going nite nite, and wanted a carrot. He stood back just looking at me like "yeah, I'm in here ain't I? "
So I got up, grabbed a carrot, handed it to him and snapped this pic. After he finished he went up top to his roosting perch and started grinding away!
Kinda cool feeling getting taught by a 1yr old
