None for now.
I have a vet appointment today, but, I think it's too late. The illness got bad last night. She fell to the bottom of the cage. And though she's still alive, she's very lethargic, closing her eyes, falling back a little, I have her in my lap now. But I'm pretty sure I'm saying goodbye today.
I couldn't get her to the vet sooner than this, I feel aweful. She'll always be my excellent eclectus. I'll let you know if she makes it. But I doubt it
{Edit}
We had to say goodbye. Thank you for all your kind thoughts.

Heartfelt hugs and support and sympathy.
Yes, please get back to us and we'll either celebrate or help see you through this.

Sending my best healing thoughts to Ember. Is she going to see a certified avian vet? Hope she defies the odds, please update us as able.

My heart is with you and Ember and I'm hoping for an amazing outcome.

Every second with a parrot is a treasure.
When they are gone, each minute lasts forever.
While they abide, each day is brimmed with pleasure,
Remembrance, bittersweet, of years together,
Lifts up our lives beyond all human measure
And breaks the strongest hearts with just a feather.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry! It is hard, but you were able to be together at the parting! Except for my brother, I have been blessed with being with loved ones as they passed! Horribly hard, but so important!

I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Having had an ekkie pass away while cradled in my lap, I can empathize with what you are going through right now. But try and at least take some measure of solace in the fact that Ember was undoubtedly comforted by your presence up until the end.

And as you grieve, try to focus more on her life with you than the moment of her passing. She loved and was loved in return. There is no greater epitaph than that.

So very very sorry for your loss. So sad, poor Ember....but at least no more pain where she is.

Oh my, that's so sad, but she went knowing she was loved right to the end. I made a donation to the Cornell College Vet school, in Ember's name, expressly to be used in parrot heath studies and programs.

Deepest condolences. I'm so sorry you had to say goodby to Ember.
