Noise level is all relative. Since I have no experience whatsoever with princess parrots I'll just go with my own made up theory. I'm thinking that while they're considered very loud little guys, they're still little, so likely not as loud as some of the larger parrots like toos, and in my case, ekkies. My little Tucker is, as described by his vet, the loudest ekkie he's ever seen. I'll admit, his contact call is something to behold

I wonder how many male eclectus his vet has met LOL. Piccolo goes off the charts sometimes too. It's good that he is not shy around the vet

Wow! I now understand why you keep saying you hope Blue is a rooster. Blue isn’t very vocal. When he is it’s very loud. Peachie puts Blue to shame to be honest in the being vocal department.

Oh she was VERY vocal today, @kme3388, and very demanding too. To the point where Lovejoy was quite unable to comply at about 4.30 this afternoon. Thank goodness he hasn't grown out of wanting his pre-bedtime snuggles with me, and I hope that never happens!

My poor little Princess Peachie has been quite beside herself lately and, unfortunately, she and Lovejoy have turned my home into their own personal "Love Shack". I will spare everyone the sordid X-rated details, and I apologize for the picture quality of the following vid, but it's more about the sound anyway. This is what she sounds like pretty much from sun-up to sunset now, and it is at TOP NOTE virtually the whole time. I think it's her version of a giddy schoolgirl's laughter, giggling at everything her handsome crush says, "Oh Lovejoy, you're so funny, hee hee heeeee, I just don't know what to do with myself when I'm around you!!" Let me assure you, viewers, yes she DOES!!

Well actually she seems more interested in flying laps around the living room this morning that in anything else, and I think Lovejoy is quite frankly grateful for a bit of a break. I don't know, maybe Peachie already knows she's got a bun in the oven!!

My bird vet did once tell me he had the offspring of a scaly-breasted lorikeet and a superb parrot in his clinic. Scalys are a bit bigger than Lovejoy, and honestly I don't know if he's quite big enough for everything to line up properly. Nevertheless he gets Peachie so hyped up that she could start laying infertile eggs, but in any case I'll just give her some dummy eggs to sit on. I really don't want them producing babies for many reasons up to and including the difficulties they may face because of their vastly different parentage - even though they would be absolutely gorgeous!

The size difference shouldn't hurt the success of a mating. Rockys mother was much bigger than her father and he had no problem fertilizing her, but I don't blame you for not wanting any babies. Maybe just one?

Nope, no babies. Four is sufficient and Lovejoy and Peachie are enough of a handful in and of themselves!
