Molly goes to bed at 8pm, which I know is petty late but I miss her a lot when she is in bed! I am up until like midnight and I wish she was here with me. Am I weird or maybe I am just in the honeymoon stage of having a parrot? We've had her since Christmas Eve this year. Did any of you start out this way and as time passed you looked forward to them going to bed? Are you just like "whatever" now? I seriously hate putting her to bed but I know, for one she wants to go to bed by the way she is acting and two, she needs to sleep 12 hours for her health. /sigh Oh well. :orange:

Nope im the same way. But 8 isn't late. My Parker is up until 11pm. Up at 8 on weekdays and...whenever I decide to wake up on the weekends. I just now put him to bed and already miss him.

You are far from unique here :)

I want to put her to bed way later but she gets all weird around 8pm. :-( She is still young so I am hoping she'll be able to be up later when she gets older. Thanks for giving me hope!

I don't have the problem you have but my problem is not so different.
I work swing shift or "late shift" and have a long commute 11.5 hours.
When I leave to go to work I miss my birds a lot. I think about them all the time. It's a little bit like being in love for the first time.

When I get home 10:30 pm they all wake up for me and say hello in there own way. It does not matter that they are covered, the cockatiels chirp, Bella makes a knocking noise and says hello, Pacho whistles , and Bingo sits on his food bowl waiting to get some of my late night dinner.
When I say goodnight to all my babies I fall asleep so fast after my head hits the pillow I don't really have time to think about them then.

My ekkie goes to sleep at around 6ish.. or his pre-sleep nap. He goes down at that time because i let my room go through the normal light/day cycles so my hedgehog doesn't get confused with it light during the day and also light at night. Though he sometimes wakes up before he actually goes to sleep and we walk around the house. I miss him when he sleeps!
