I think it is just a different feather patten , my GCC has a half split that looks this, it’s not common but some birds have it.. but check weight if your bird just to make sure.
Pretty I’m totally thinking girl!! When do you find out? Has the posture improved?

Yes posture has definitely improved. He/she not sits up as straight as a pole lol. I find out in about a week. So very excited to see what i have. Vinny has came on leaps and bounds and now makes kissy noises (which he/she does non stop haha) and gives kisses, says his name (Vinny) and also says good boy. All said on the one day haha.

Still doesnt like hands though but that is a work in progress :)

Thats good as i was just wondering what it was but his weight is perfectly fine as he was at the vet a few days ago and he was a perfect weight.

Ta-dah is eating black berries but yiu can kinda see the feather spit pattern in this pic

Thank yiu! I got her on sale years ago cuz they thought she was very plain and or ugly... so it really makes me smile to hear you say that!! Of course I agree with you !!

My friend’s parrotlet has that. We call it his front butt. Because at heart, we’re all 13 year old boys.

Leo tge Quaker,
Yiu need to go back an update your posture post if you haven’t already. Because you picked up on s very subtle sign that your burd has something wrong..

Oh sorry, will do. Completely forgot as i was just glad that there wasnt something serious wrong with him/her. :)

LOL i guess that is what i will call it now too. :18::18:

I've heard this line means the bird is just slim;)

Low calcium is serious, it can actually cause death

Oh i know it can i just mean something serious as in something that cannot be fixed. :) Didn't explain myself in the last post properly...my fault

In birds if it’s the keel showing , yes a very thin bird.

But in some burds like mine and this Quaker it’s just a feather pattern fold. It’s not a common feather pattern but some burds do have this. I do wonder if it’s more common with females to have this pattern?
