Ivory just keeps acting more and more tooish :) She went from being terrified to even be turned on her back when I was holding her to know literally throwing herself over and just staying there waiting for a wrestling game :)

Tonight she was roughing with Victoria and when Tor lifted her arm up, Ivory would hold on an swing. Had to get a video. You can hear Folger in the background. Was so proud of him that he didn't freak out or go after her.

Sorry for the weird angle, but Ivory is right on the sofa between the two of us ;)

It's awesome seeing Ivory be more like a 'too!! She's such a happy birdie. :)
It's also nice that Folger has sort of calmed down(Well, compared to the 'psychotic' birdie he was before.) and is just being loud instead of jumping across to get Ivory!
It's so cool seeing them both grow and become more and more 'too-like the happier they get!

What a fun video it's great to see a bird play like that without biting a finger. I loved how she jumped on Victoria like a dog would (as you said) and running to momma for protection. Ivory seems like a great bird.

I loved watching your video! I'm gonna show it to my hubby now. :) That's exactly the type of bird personality I would love to have. So cute! he reminds me of a naughty puppy. :)

This video made me smile. Thank you for sharing. Ivory looks like she's having a blast. :)

I liked the way the camera briefly panned up to capture Folger with a "Hey! Why aren't I included in this?" look on his face! I enjoy the same game with mine but she she gets pretty snappy, so a thick sleeve pulled over my hand is a sensible precautionary measure...

hahaha! That's adorable! It's great that Ivory is really enjoying herself and becoming more and more comfortable. It speaks volumes for the loving home she's in :) Both of the too's in your home are becoming such wonderful characters! No wonder why they have their own fan clubs :D

Great video! Ivory is having so much fun! :D

Folger looks like he was thinking of trying "something" here...doesn't he? :54:

That is hands down my favorite thing about Too's is their willingness to throw down and play on their backs. Ivory is such a pretty, playful imp!

She did not arrive to us with this behavior, has taken her quite a while to get to the point she is now... and not every bare eyed will be like her, she is an awesome little bird who has forgiven some previous mistreatment from her last home. Took a while to get to this point with her :) Not trying to talk you out of it, but bare eyeds can also have the same attitude of Folger and only be good with one person.

Work with the beak more. Ivory can bite too hard sometimes when she gets all riled up. But, I work with her alot about beak pressure and even when playing tell her to be nice or easy. If she does do too much pressure we stop playing. This is all new behavior for her, just recently she has starting playing on her back or rough / wrestling at all. So, I am sure you can teach your girl proper beak pressure too :) They don't mean to bite, they just don't realize how much pressure that clamp on their face can put out!! And that our wimpy human skin isn't a tough as their fellow feathered flockmates :)

Love this video! Ivory is an absolute trip, Jen. Thanks for sharing!
@Wendy: you are so right! He looked like he was maybe a hairsbreadth from joining the fray! Lol

LOL!! Ivory looks like she LOVES rough housing! I laughed when she jumped all the way over to your arm! Lol.

Folger was probably gearing up for "body guard" mode- maybe it was cause jen kept saying "attack" ;) hahaha

good point... maybe we need to find a different word to teach Ivory to attack Victoria so Folger doesn't think he needs to chew me a new behind... :)

Thanks Jen, I'll keep working on it! She's already a lot less beaky that she used to be, it's just when we're playing and she gets overexited. At the moment rolling on her back seems to be the closest she dares go the the galah upside down shrieking thing, she won't hang from the cage to do it but if I let her grip my arm when she's on her back I can lift her up a few inches and she'll have a good old shriek and flap with the safety of the sofa easily within reach.

She also does little somersaults down the back of the sofa - that's a glorious thing to see!

I swear Ivory and Jasper share personalities. It's like I'm watching my own boy play because they act so similar. Bare eyed babies are the best!

totally agree with that statement!!! :)

Tho you may not know it if you heard me cursing her sometimes... I'll chase her out of the kitchen and then when I turn my back she flies back into the kitchen to steal whatever I was making on the counter.... she's a brat with a major capital B!!! :) Victoria keeps laughing at me, how I am I liking that cockatoo behavior now :)
