Ok... this one might be off the wall, but I have seen pictures of people sharing juice with their birds. Is it ok to actually do that or even give them a small bowl of juice every now and then?

Our vet recommended using fruit juice to make veggies (or pellets) taste better when you're trying to convert them but beyond that, I'm not sure. I imagine that like most things, small quantities as a treat every now and again is fine.

i share juice with my babies too, not everyday though. i use a low sugar one. x

I share juice all the time and I make sure to only buy the 100% pure juices that has no added sugar etc. in it. ;)

Yes, my birds love apple and orange juice. I just give them a drink two or three times. I don't leave juice in their cages. My silly Crimson Bellied Conure tried to take a bath in it.LOL

LOL my conure did that once too!!! x

As long as it's 100% juice with no sugar added, it should be okay. Juice is just liquid fruit, right? About every 3-4 months I consider getting a juice to make my own, but so far, I haven't.

Ruby likes ice cubes and I'll let her select one or two if I've got a glass of ice water. She's begun to be interested in coffee, which I'm not at all happy about.

Sweet, I assumed they wouldn't be bad for Skyler but I wanted to double check first. Just have to make sure I get the all natural sugar free juices. And that is hilarious that the Conures were trying to bathe in the juices. HAHA, great stuff. lol.

Oh yes, the pure juices can be a hit!

Not with my girl however lol!

Di, I have a juicer.....truly.....they are so very difficult to clean and they get so sticky!!!!

I have reverted to the supermarket pure lol!

yea ours love their juices too

I just took a friend of mine and her bird to an avain vet. She said not to give our birds the citrus juices because it is hard on them. Rosie loves to sip on Bolthouse organic carrot juice.
