Birdie Adventures In
TOYLAND!!

Toys play such an important role in our birdies' lives.
Whether it's for education, foraging or enrichment...

.....or just for sheer fun and enjoyment...

.....almost anything can be a toy,
including daddy's glasses!!

Video entries and Photoshop are allowed for this month's contest.

No more than one "Official Entry" per member,
but there is no limit on "Just For Fun" images.
Don't forget to advise if the submission
is an "Official" entry or "Just For Fun"!
Please ensure to include your bird's name in your post,
and remember to observe safety guidelines.

The winner receives a free One Year Premium Membership
to Parrot Forums, and the winning photo will be displayed
on the Home Page for the following month.

Entries are open now and will close
early morning on July 29, (times will vary
depending on your local timezone).
At the end of the submission period, a 3-day poll
will be held to determine the winner.

Well, I already know that our entry will be a picture of the Rb enjoying the tubular bell that Salty's dad (Wrench13) gave us years ago... it's just a matter of picking one!!!!!

I see your "little goober" is about as fond of folding laundry as I am. And I'll have about a dozen loads of it to do today! "Get that (expletive deleted) away from me!" I love his little growl, it's just so cute!

Merlin had discovered his shadow and I had intended to record video.
instead I only took a still picture. It was quit a show he was bobbing and weaving like he was in the ring with a heavy weight boxer.

Looks like the Twins are living up to their name there - double the trouble but twice the fun And that gorgeous shadow boxer, sizing up the opposition, that would indeed have been a great show to have had ringside seats at! Thanks for the funzees, Wes, they're great pics!

Well it's a sure thing that when the Rickeybird is indahouse, the fun never stops and too much spam is barely enough!!! Although it looks like that brazen hussy with the cornrows is diverting way much attention away from you, Aunty G, no wonder you had to send that little tramp home!

Lovely haul of Rb zaniness, but Tubular Bell is a classic. Poor bell convicted and received maximum sentence plus a wee bit more!!

Just for fun.... Popcorn shredding last remnant of foot-long 2 x 4* from the comfort of a perch. Favorite toy is trio of 12 inch blocks strung from chain, lasts Popcorn and Alice 7 to 10 days.

*Translation to metric = 5 x 10 x 30 centimeters.​

Yikes, those beaks sure do inflict a lot of damage and FAST!! The folks down at the lumber yard must love you, Scott. Little wonder that in some parts of Oz, a cocky's favourite chew toy is sometimes somebody's house!

I buy three ten-foot (3 meter) sections of 2 x 4s and cut them to size so there are roughly 10 jumbo chew toys to last a while! Think I recently spent roughly $30USD, quite the bargain compared with store-bought wooden toys. Only difference is mine are not dyed, don't think the birds care either way!
