A belated ode to the Birdylympics...


**Feathered Fliers: The Birdlympic Games!**


In a world up high where the breezes sway,
The birds gather round for a bright, cheerful day.
With flappy wings ready, they chirp with delight,
It’s time for the Birdlympics, oh what a sight!


First up on the track, with a zoom and a zazz,
A speedy macaw zooms, oh, what a pizzazz!
With feathers a-flutter and a wiggle, a squawk,
He dashes like lightning while others just gawk.

Then over to swimming, where the splashes all shine,
A clever old lorikeet glides through the brine.
With graceful dives and flips, he shows off his flair,
And the fish in the water just giggle and stare!

Now on to gymnastics, oh what a display!
A nimble conure flips upside down, hooray!
She twirls and she spins, on a branch oh-so-fine,
With a tuck and a roll, she’s as heady as wine!

And don’t forget diving, from heights oh-so-great,
Where a bold little parrotlet takes a leap, what a fate!
With a splash and a flap, he calls to the crowd,
"Watch me, oh watch me; I'm singing so loud!"

So feathered friends gather, both tiny and tall,
For a day filled with laughter, we’re having a ball!
The Birdlympics are here, with a cheer and a fly,
In a world up high, where the birds touch the sky!


So flap and so flap, let your worries be few,
For when birds come together, there's magic to do!
With races and splashes, oh what a delight,
The Birdlympic Games ... a magical sight!
