I like reusing things and save ANYTHING that might be useful as a toy. If anyone of you has this toy,
Bird toys: Natural fiber pinata toy for birds at Drs. Foster and Smith
or this one,
Bird toys: bird piñatas: bird shredders; Octopus Piñatas at Drs. Foster & Smith
or just about anything similar that has natural 'stuffing' inside, I cut in half and take out all the guts. My birds got tired of these two super quick once they destroyed the bottom, so I cut it in half and all these peices of palm leaf were 'filling' the toy. I use chinese finger traps and similar things to stuff foraging toys. :) I'll post a pic as soon as possible. I just wanted to give you an idea because I know a couple people that throw away toys once Birds no longer play with them, and I'm like "NO! There was so much more you could have used!" :11: :p

good idea! I'll have to try that for my nanday conure. you can also stuff treats in the fibers and holes and chinese finger traps.

Yes, I put a bunch of the 'guts' in and some almonds and walnuts and they knock themselves out. :)

The best thing is that these are so cheap, fast, and easy!

Ok different topic, but I wanted to show you something. There is this online shop for all things handmade; one lady (I think) makes really nice bird toys. Here's a link:

I think I will order the vine chain tassle, the bamboo spinner, and some munch balls. :) I love shopping for the fids. ;)
