I just got a used cage off of craigslist for my pair of gcc's. It is only 4 months old. I got it for $120! The only rust is on the wheels and its just surface rust. The bowls still have part of the original packing on them. Everything works/looks great, plus it came with a few perches but I don't think I will use them. They had to get rid of their bird because they had a baby.
Here is the link to the same cage at petsmart.

The one I got is the same color too.

Congrats on the cage, nice deal for you! Yeah, if they're the dowel perches that come with the cage, I have a tendency to toss those :o If they're a different style wooden perch, maybe you could disinfect them and keep them as back ups?

But ugh, really? "They had to get rid of their bird because they had a baby"?? That's just like the people who get a dog to see if they can handle the responsibility before having a baby, then rehoming or taking the dog to a shelter once they have a baby. Do people adopt out their older child when they have a second baby? I had a newborn, 2 Greys, 2 dogs, a cat, and a turtle. Yes, all at once. I didn't "get rid of" a single one because of the newborn.

Okay, off my soapbox now! ;)

There is one dowl and a cholla cactus(large) perch. It also has a ladder and a sisal Boeing.
They claimed the parrot was really noisy so it disturbed the baby.

Ill keep my mouth shut. But BS. I really hope you don't buy in to that yourself and find new homes for any of your birds when you're older and have a baby.

Don't worry I wont. And when I was cleaning the cage today I found an HQ emblem on the tray, so the cage is actually the HQ version of the A&E cage link I posted. The only difference is the door is a little different and the locks on the feeder doors a have different locks. But they have the same dimensions.
I would never rehome my birds just because I have a baby. Its not like the birds are too loud, babies sleep through everything. And I will have time for a baby plus birds so that wont be an issue.
