Can these be eaten as a substitute to pellets?

Does your bird eat pellets already?

I used them as a half way house to get Plum to get used to pellets and now he's used to pellets and eats them.

Nutriberries work now as part of his daily intake and a treat/bribe LOL

No. I give him pelleted and no luck. Have tried to used them as bribe and added them into the pellets. He picks them out and leaves the pellets. And the bird store sold me the pellets he's been weaned to? So why isn't he eating them then? Hmmmm?

Does he eat any fresh foods, veggies? If so add some pellet dust to that, just a sprinkle. it takes time but persevere.

PS Just remembered that I have put a food pot attached to the side of his cage and this has helped with making pellets more accessible to him.

He definitely prefers this as he will regularly go and eat some now, when he wouldn't before. BTW Plum not very keen on Harrison's although I have some and keep trying, his favourite is TOPs.

Just curious... what kind of pellets did the store give you to try? Getting birds to try new things can be a pain. What do the pellets taste like? I've gotten my birds to eat pellets by faking them out making them think its a "goodie"... plus I have been known to munch on said pellets right in front of em... they cant stand it and insist I give them some too. Still... its not all they get. Im all for variety.. and they get all kinds of fresh stuff too.
