I have a Black Cap Green Cheek and a Cinnamon. Both are two years old
Sophie is a nearly 4 year old pineapple/cinnamon Conure. Shortly after we arrived in our winter home in AZ she started biting only me. This is our second year here with the birds. She doesn't bite my husband and sometimes doesn't want anything to do with him. At first she was only biting me when I got near her cage to put her on top or in. Now she has escalated to a random pattern without being provoked or frightened and not necessarily when she's near the cage. I am unable to keep her off my shoulder and she WANTs to be on me usually. But then I get these nasty bites again...at random. Don't tell me to NOT react. It's impossible for me to do that, hard as I try. She has also started to bang and flap her wings as soon as she is covered for the night. It lasts only a few minutes but I'm wondering if her cage is a part of the problem. We have decided today to take everything out that isn't essential for her. Her rope perch the cardboard toilet paper roll she likes to chew on and her food and water to see if that helps calm her down near her cage. I would love some advice if anyone has any. I love her but when she does that to me it really upsets me and I'm not going to live this way.

First of all, and I've said it many times, Ignore the bites is about the stupidest advice anyone can be given. The bird needs immediate feedback when he's using too much bite pressure.

If it were me I'd do a refresher training course on the basics. Step up. No bite. Bite pressure training.

Is he clipped or flighted?

Ditto!..........

Thank you for your response. She is clipped however, the little devil still does a pretty good job of flying. Usually clipping calms her down but not this time. Can you recommend some good training instructions?
