Very beautiful. I know of 2 people in this area with large macaws that got loose outside who both got them back. There is a saying "the only way to hold onto something is to let it go". This is the same idea as your statement above that "real life partners stay with you by choice, not because you hold them captive." I sincerely hope that your friend gets his beautiful bird back.

Apparently your friends bond with his bird is not strong either because it flew away and is lost now!

why, are you afraid that your bond is not strong enough?

Actually its the opposite. Our bond is so strong I would be devastated if they were lost. I would worry everyday that they ended up in the hands of someone who would abuse them or just try to gain profit from them. I would not be able to sleep at night and I would look endlessly for them during the day, and probably never have dry eyes.
