Lost a Quaker parrot named Alvin last July 2009. :(
Hi. I am posting about my beloved, lost, Quaker parrot, named Alvin.

He has been missing from Quincy, Massachusetts, since July 2009 and hope that someone, somewhere, someday, sees one of my postings and reunites me with my bird.

Alvin is a Green Quaker parrot, with a RED band around his left leg and who can speak many short phrases, like: "pretty, pretty bird" / "i'm a good boy" / "hey bird," "you're adorable!," etc.

He could be anywhere, and if anyone has seen, or knows a friend/family member who sees and/or has found Alvin, please, please contact me at:

nansyelee@yahoo.com! Thanks so very much.!!!

We found a quaker here in Maryland before the owner got him back. The owner posted on Craigs list for the state so I suggest you do the same. Someone from my bird club saw the post and knew of the found bird. I truly hope you find the bird. We will all keep our fingers and toes crossed.

Thanks. This isn't the first, or the only place i've posted.

Great that you have posted in many different places.
Good luck
Praying for a safe return
Take care, and that of our feathered friends !!!! :grey:

Call every pet shop you can think of. They are often the first place someone calls when they find a bird.

Good Luck!

Thank you everyone! Much appreciated; especially the prayers for Alvin, because aside from someone here "finding" him, i know and believe in the power of prayer and i am very thankful for each and every one!

I have done everything physically possible to find him myself and now it is up to my world family to see him somewhere and hopefully send me that beautiful message that he has been "found" somewhere, by someone!

I have sent, about 17 flyers to every Animal rescue agency, etc. that i could find an address for, as well as posting his picture and story on as many sites as i can find; when i find them :>) . The good news is that, following up with a few of these shelters, etc., i am told they keep the flyers posted until they hear that the bird is found - good news there and something i was grateful to hear.

Again, thanks for the helpful tips and most especially the prayers for Alvins return!!

Michelle, your sugarbabies are priceless; beautiful!! :>)
