Seems like I've started a lot of threads these last few days, hope I'm not annoying everyone:11: But I did want to share some of the new toys I made up today
I know I have more parts coming from MSBS, so I needed to clear out some "inventory" so to speak
I've reverted back to lots of little beads and party supplies and brightly colored things. I tried some straws, cardboard and "shreddable" things the past few toys I've made, but the chewable parts have just become poop magnets. He likes taking little parts off then going and playing with them on the floor of his cage and chewing just holds very little interest to him
Anyways:
"Game night" toy includes baby party favors, dominos, chess pieces, a "kids meal" twister toy, glitter wand and a "gum ball machine"
Summer fun toy includes brightly colored rattles, beads, knots to untie and foraging cups covered by flower-shape "saucers" from a childs tea-set
I don't know if anyone else has one of those toys you add adding machine paper to, but we got one a long time ago and the paper just became a messy poop magnet and it was a rather expensive toy banished to a drawer. I re-did this with beads, links and some brightly Kiwi-favorites. Like a moth to the light, the prior poop magnet was being played with seconds after I took the pic:
Last, but not least- my brilliant idea of a "busy bucket"! Basically I took a (washed) yogurt container and using a large needle, basically sewed little toys to it (they are all tied/knotted on the inside of the container). Some are soft, chewable plastic and others are like little foot toys. For those DIY toy makers, you could easily modify this to your birds likes with wood beads, twine ext...
