Betty is my "love ya from a distance" bird. They will sing to me n talk and take food from my hands but has never and probably will never step up or interact w me w/o food. They love their 3 budgie friends Chicken Noodle Soup (f), Tina Turner (f) and Squidward (m). Betty is significantly larger than all my other budgies, like a good inch taller- closer in size to my gcc Jello. Their cere has always been light purple/pied pink-blue and has never gone broody like Tina and Soup. I wanna say Betty is a female, but their size and their actions make me think male...
Betty is the biggest talker in my cage, and is VERY loud.
Betty has mounted Soup and Tina before, feeding them both as well.
Theyve never gone broody, and theyre about a year and a half old. Pics below πŸ‘‡ What do you think? M or F?

It's a male because females never have a lot of purples and blue a closer picture would be appreciated.

In your other thread about Betty, I replied that it's a male because of the blue and pink cere

I would have said β€œmale β€œjust by the mating /dominance behavior. Not likely that a female would do that.
