March 2024 POTM Contest!!!

This month's theme ...

COLOUR

MY

WORLD!!!

animated-bird-image-0595.gif

A big part of what appealed to our ancestors about parrots, and still does to many today, are the shimmering colours of those fantastical feathers.

Nowadays of course, we value them even more for the way they "colour our world" with their vibrant personalities, their antics and their unconditional love!!

So whether your birdie is

"personality plus"

as well as a riot of colour like Lovejoy ...

0pny3xk.jpg

.... or a sweet-natured

perfect portrait in pastels

like Princess Peachie ...

gZDGEOJ.jpeg

.... a symphony in monochromatic tones

like Fang ...

... or patriotic hues like handsome Val ...

So this is one of the ones that died. So sad. Why do his feathers look like they are wet? Maybe he was already sick when this pic was taken.
Just a thought
He loved taking baths, and this was long before he showed signs of illness(the picture is over a year old) He enjoyed being sprayed with water :)
Edit: This pic was taken about a month before signs of illness... I think he would be better by now if my parents got him to a vet but at the time our situation was a mess so I'm not angry at them. If you want to talk further we can chat in DM since I don't think we should be talking about my dead bird in a thread that's supposed to be positive

Shifty and Frankie won't eat grapes but they feast on the juicy parts of the vine where the grapes come off.
Hhhhmmmmmmmmmm, maybe I'll try Peachie on grapes still stuck to the stalk, she'll find those a LOT harder to chuck onto the floor!! Thank you the idea, and for your entry :)
