Meet Sebastian!

I'm new but not. I have a GCC named ChiChi and a PFLB named Sebastian.
I've had Sebastian before I got ChiChi, but I just found out there's a LB forum! Just thought we would introduce ourselves.

Sebastian was born in march, so he is about 5 months old. He's just starting to get his peach color on the top of his head. It's all speckled and so cute! He's a sweet baby boy for sure. He lays on his back in my hand so I can rub his belly. Sinc ei just found the forum for him, what can I expect as he gets a lil older? Do they go thru nippy stages like conures? What treats do they love, etc...

Awwwww!!! He is lovely! My husband had a blue headed pionus named Sebastion. They figured out that Sebastian was actually a girl though!

Weeeeeelllllllll, one good thing about Chichi, the name could go for a boy or a girl I would think. Like my Senegal, her name is Tiki and that name could be used for a boy or a girl.

Yeah I don't ca if chichi is a girl, I'll call him a boy regardless, and I don't plan on breeding him so it won't matter anyway. Thanks mike!

I know!! He's still such a clumsy baby too. He is just a mess!! I know he struts around here with the biggest ego ever. I'm suprised he can fit thru the doors with his big head! Lol

10 months hits puberty...watch out!!
Mine is still a baby himself and he is VERY nippy. Right now we are going through exorcises; He sits on my finger, I pet him and he doesn't bite. He gets a treat! When he goes to nibble I say firmly "NO BITE" and in a very certain kind of voice. Now when he hears the "NO BITE" he stops biting right away and looks at me.
Also when he bites for pain (And you can tell the difference between aggressive biting and playful biting) I always but him straight back in his page with the "NO BITE".

He's making progress. As far as I've looked up, LB's are pretty consistent in their nippyness and it's apart of their personality. The best way to keep them from biting is to be consistent in your training methods for nips nibbles and bites.

Also, LB's should be discouraged from any kind of nibbling on your skin -- even the harmless kind!
