Meet Yoshi

Here is my first picture of Yoshi, it's a little dim as I don't want to use flash.

So, I've had him for a few days, he is a re-homed bird that is approximately 4 years old.

Here is his cage:

He doesn't seem very interested in any of the toys, nor the bird bath. He is eating/drinking/sleeping well, but I'm concerned about his lack of interest in playing with anything other than my Apple Watch on my wrist, my wedding band, or a gold necklace I wear. Yoshi certainly seems to have expensive tastes

Is this normal for a GCC? Is the cage layout okay? I want to make him as comfortable as possible.

He's so very new to your environent... I wouldn't be surprisedif he just sits 'n' stares for quite a while!

Awesome baby, even more awesome mom! Add some branches to his home, Walmart has a couple that are great! One is an ‘edible’ y, and other is a nice branch perch. Both a fraction of the same thing at pet***! My JoJo, also a rehome, and tough past, ignores toys! "Ignores" is the wrong word! Like me, he never learned how to play!

You have put an incredible amount of work into your new life, if you are still in the grace period of returning his home, jump on it! There are many problems with a wire cage! They all can be worked around, but a welded cage is so much better! And knowing your location, you paid way over the edge for what you have!!

No fear, that cage is great as a sleeping cage, if your buddy likes, many do!
Also, an outside visit cage too!
