Hello,
I have an older lineolated parakeet. He is 8 years old and has started to look increasingly scruffy. This species only lives too about 10. I took him away from his much younger mate this year. He and a 4 month old parakeet however have since bonded. I was thinking about giving him milk thistle and senior nutriberries to see if his feather condition will improve. Is anybody aware that this would negatively effect a young bird. These two are a true bonded pair so separating them is not ideal.
