Sunny South Africa !!!
Parrots
African "Grey"
"Mishka"
Male
7 Years old
I took Mishka to the vet today to have his wings clipped and nails trimmed.

What an interesting visit.

There were 15 African Greys there it was awesome.
I sat next to a guy whose AG was 38 years old. LoL he did not look much older than Mishka (Mishka will be 6 years old soon)

A woman had her two dogs there they began barking.
Mishka said loudly and excitedly "Mommy the doggies are barking" then he began to bark like a dog.

One bird started to whistle... OMG have you ever heard +- 15 birds all whistling at the same time, in a small room?

Brett (the veterinarian) came out of his rooms to see what was going on.

The more us guardian's laughed the louder they whistled.

I swear they all knew they were entertaining us, it was such a beautiful moment.

That would be a sight to see....never been to the vet when there's that many bird owners there all at once. :)

A sight to see for sure and to hear them :)
Next time I take ear plugs LoL

I used to take Mishka during the week, now working full time Saturday is the only day I am able to, just like so many of the guardians there today.

Oh what a riot! I never go to the vet and have another bird there while I'm there. LOL! Sounds like fun, too bad nobody caught that one on video!

When working from home, I always went during the week early in the morning, being the first one there. Hardly ever seeing any birds at the vet.
There are vets much closer to home, BUT I only trust Dr Brett Russell with Mishka.

We have to make with what we are able to do.

Now that I think about it, I work weekends so my vet visits are always on Tuesday! That may explain some of that. It is worth the trouble to drive if you really like your vet!

LOLOL! Next time, Ant, you should suggest that everyone teach their birds to sing the Hallelujah Chorus. Just imagine the effect that would have when they all got together! :D :D :D

sounds like you had a great time ,when I take any of my birds to the vet I may see 1 or 2 at the most

I must mention what the procedure is at the vet when taking your bird in.

If your bird is ill, the vet must be informed before taking the bird in. The bird is then seen to "privately".

Where we were waiting for wing clipping and nail to be trimmed.

Like others, I never been to the vet with that many birds. With all of them whistling, it would have been music to my ears.
