I saw someone posting about wanting a loud bird or a talker.... I immediately thought of the rescue the other day! The Moluccan too there was soooooo loud and could mimmic a train very very well. It was hilarious but in a I'm very glad you don't live in my house or next door kind of way. Thought I'd share we didn't get it very well but once he realized we were laughing at him he started doing it nonstop:rolleyes:

We'll see if he does it again on the 16th and can try to get a better video:D

Oh my, even for a such a short video

Scared the crap out of me...Rest in piece headphone users.

Oops maybe I should have warned those poor souls...

Oh yes they're loud!!!! It's got a ugly voice for such a pretty bird!!! That's why I would never have another U2 or M2 again....maybe if I win the lottery and when I have a big place for one to live in. :)

How much louder than your large Macs? I was at a bird store the other day, and a B&G let out a LOUD yell 6 feet from me and it blew my hair back! ...and that was in a very large room. I know they don't always sound off full blast like that, but OMG, that was too much.

Well the thing is my macs are rather quiet most of the time compared to the U2 that we had before, he was a screamer. It was constant scream scream scream. When he sees me he does it, when he knows I'm home he does it, when he hear me come home he does it, when I'm trying to sleep he does it. He was better over time but you can't have a conversation in the room near by cause you won't be able to hear anything but his scream. But lately Lola have been screaming when she knows I'm up and getting ready for work. I know they do the screaming to get the dogs going, cause after they scream the dogs starts to howl.....That's every morning......lol

oh my, that was alarming!
:)

Oh my! Every one of my birds flew off their stands when I played that!

Yeah, Alice went in to full defense posturing when I played that... one of my favourite bird species, the Moluccan, but I don't think I could cope with one as a companion bird.

Haha yeah Ivory froze when she heard it! The little ones just looked around but they are used to me playing music all the time. I think they already expect loud things to occur in our house since we aren't a quiet bunch.

There is no way I could cope with a Moluccan! I think I could cope with a sanctuary type thing where there was a bunch of them together in an outside aviary but thats about it.

I grew up listening to that and more, and it's not easy. They should make any potential 'too owner listen to that with headphones for 2 hours. That'll learn em!
