So a friend has been displaced and must come live here with me, they have a green conure they have all the correct paperwork to bring the conure but didn't realize that the airlines have suspended bringing pets(so I am told, I haven't verified this). So now the conure is stuck in Oregon with a friend of my friend who won't keep the conure for very long. So is there any way to get this conure here, driving to Oregon and back isn't and option, and yes I am sure none of this is ideal, but here we are anyway. You will have to forgive me as I know zero about any birds. This is important to him the bird is an unofficial support animal to him.

I would suggest that you look up local parrot clubs in your area. This could be a starting point to find ppl who are willing to help drive bird to it's destination. It's not unusual for parrot people to assist in this fashion.

I will have to look at parrot groups, I know he isn't part of any, so no clue where to start, hello Google lol.

Its a 3 day train ride, I am trying to quickly educate myself on this but that seems long for the bird?

Any idea who does pet transport, I'm very interested.

Check with the Airline as things are always in flowing regarding Pets on Planes. It is very possible that the airline is speaking about "pets" in the passenger area? Although not preferred, Parrots as freight is likely available. Check with the Airlines!!

As you said, Google!

Also— Put on your, "please help" voice and call a few dog breeders!
There are several groups on FB and I have seen several recommendations on van services!
FYI, do still check around with the airlines! Within the past year, my daughter flew out to Texas to pick up a pup! She also had several quotes from ground services!

Most if not all airlines resumed transporting pets as freight. Always a risk and subject to temperature embargoes for safety. Ideal method for flying is in cabin, but requires travel with passenger. Is your friend able to purchase a round trip ticket for escort aboard the plane?

Not sure how far you are needing to move your friend’s green cheek - but sometimes avian rescues know people who are willing to help transport birds for a fee. The bird community is often willing to help each other out.
