So, for about 2 months i have been looking for a new horse! Klaatu, my clydesdale cross, turned out to be only 2 years old, so he is in the paddock for the next year or so, growing up into a big boy ;)

I am pretty tall, so horses need to be atleast 16.2hh otherwise i look ridiculous hahaha

And i found this guy! He was a race horse- named scotch impact haha but he wasnt very good hehe but his dad won a million dollars!

Anyways, i went and rode him, he has amazing movements, but, we didnt have a horse truck to bring him home!!

Well, today, my dad and mum bought a new horse truck, and then we went and picked up my little man.. or should i say big man :p

He has the most amazing personality, sooo calm, sweet, and VERY respectful and obedient

After a few weeks of training we will go to our first show, then eventually get into eventing :)

His neck, back and rump are a bit skinny, but with good feed and exercise it should get nice and muscly

So let me introduce you to:

Kitai - 17.1hh, 6 years old, thoroughbred, brown-blackish

and if you are unsure how to pronounce Kitai, its like guitar, but with a K hahaha Will smith has a new movie called After Earth coming out soon, and thats what his son is called, and i like weird names!

And Fargo is a little champion, i was up at 5am, and got home at 4pm, and he was perfect all day, my brother said he just happily played with his toys and ate..

I got home, ran in, yelled Fargo!! he yelled back a happy hello, came out of his cage, gave me huge cuddles, and then we put his hoodie on, and the rest of the evening he was the sweetest boy, so didnt hold a grudge at all!!

I can't WAIT to see how Kitai will change as you begin your training! :D That neck of his will become muscular in no time, you wait and see!

Please have your mum take pictures tomorrow morning on your first training session, ok?

He is GORGEOUS, Tab!!! And such a big boy. I hope he and Klaatu will become best of friends. :D

ohh!!...I'm soooo envious!....I love horses, and yours is just stunning.

Clydesdales happen to be by favourite, even though I love all of them, big and small.

can't wait to see more pictures, maybe Fargo can ride him too one day :)

Nice one Tab!
Kitai actually looks a lot like one of Birdy's good friends!

Will Fargo get the chance to meet Kitai in the near future?

Thanks guys!! Have only been out 4 times tonight to check on him :09: haha

Crimson, clydesdales and shires are my favourite too :D I want to do eventing though, so they werent the right choice hahaha :54: Even though Klaatu is 50% clydesdale, he is sooo big and heavy, but man he can jump! :p

Omg Mudkips!!! Thats adorable, they do look similar! Same little white star too :D Does Birdy like horse rides

Yes i think Fargo will meet them one day! When hes a good boy and goes out on his harness haha

I would LOVE to take Fargo to horse shows ! :)

Hey guys! Just got onto the computer, been out with him this morning, had our first ride, he was a very good boy, bit lazy after not being worked for a year ;)
Yes when he builds up his muscle i think he will look great !!
I wouldnt say he was scrawney, just lack of muscle hahaha Mum said in about 6 weeks he will look great !

So picture time ;)

And Kitai and Klaatu met! They were perfect, they both have the same personality, so they sniffed each other and gave each other a scratch! :D

WOW, Tab! Those pics are giving me goosebumps!!! You and Kitai were OBVIOUSLY meant to find each other. You look GREAT together. And you instantly fell in love with him.

What makes me even happier is that he and Klaatu get along! AAAWWWW!!!!!! Now Klaatu has a friend in Kitai, and you have 2 very GORGEOUS horses there who love you so much!

Kitai seems pretty light on his feet in the trotting pictures. :) Is he sensitive in the mouth? You 2 will go a long LONG way, no doubt in my mind. :D

OMG Klaatu is too beautiful
What a handsome fella
So glad you posted them on the forum for all to view. (saw them on facebook)

I WANT A HORSE !!!!!
Thanks for sharing

Hehe thank you Wendy and Ant, he is a dream! :) and a very soft mouth!

Ohhh i found his racing information!! Well, mum did ;)

So, he was born October 3rd 2006.. He only ran 6 races, and placed once :p made about 2000 dollars altogether

He was ridden by a girl, and his colours were pink and blue ;) haha

His dad has a 8000 dollar stud fee!

I think Kitai is alot prettier than his dad, he has the softer face  But he is pretty solid with his build, so Kitai should get nice and muscly like that :p

Thanks Marcia! I have never had a thoroughbred before, have mainly little ponies and arabs, but needed the bigger guys! haha So far hes been amazing!

Awwww Ant thank you :D

I didn't ride very well today though, it will take me a few days before i can figure out his movements and get a balance to it properly haha

and my normal reins are too short for his neck

So have to try and get an even longer pair so i dont have to lean/hunch forward with my arms hahaha

If you ever come to Australia, you can go for a ride LOL :p

Have you ever though of using a rope bridle when not in show? I don't like bits, they pinch the guns and can hurt the horse, even if you are really careful mistakes can happen. They are sooooo old school. I fee a horse trained to use a rope bridle is much more tuned into you and talks more with body language.
