My budgie's cere changed color !

I have a budgie for four months and she always had a brown cere but this week it turned to blue . I don't know what to do and I am really worried . Is such color change normal ?

I'm not a big budgie expert but I'm learning. As they mature their ceres change -- females ceres stay brown ish or very pale colored while males develop blue ceres. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but looks to be like you have a male budgie. Congrats! He's a cuitie.

I don't think it's anything to worry about but I also think you budgie is a male. 99.9% sure about it.

I believe that means ‘she’ is in fact a boy and is approaching sexual maturity.

Actually, she is a girl and is just coming out of breeding condition. Female budgies can develop that brownish and sometimes crusty looking cere when they are in breeding season. The blue cere would make you think she's a boy, but the white circles around her nares give away the fact that she is indeed a girl.

Yep, the female Budgie with a blue cere that has white rings around each nostril is what confuses more people than anything else when sexing a Budgie!!! Outlawed Spirit got it! When a female Budgie goes into Breeding-Season their ceres turn a very dark brown color and become really thick and crusty. And then when they come out of Breeding-Season they turn back to their original color, which is either white/cream, tan, brown, or blue with white rings around the nostrils...Males have either solid blue, solid pink, or solid purple ceres and they never change again after puberty.
