OMG that is beyond cool! I've seen tiels do rooster sounds before on youtube many years ago and had completely forgotten about it until you just posted this vid. How did you teach him to do that? Did he just mimic something? He's awesome

I would love to get my tiel to do that... it is hilarious. Can you image if my tiel did that on my balcony outside... my neighbors would complain to HOA that I'm keeping roosters on my balcony! LOL

I didn't teach him. I adopted him from a friend and her kids taught him to crow, meow and bark like a dog. The funny thing is that he crows often and as soon as he realizes that it is morning and hears me moving around he starts crowing! I guess he understands that"s what he is suppose to do if he is a rooster??? LOL!

The only time he barks is when he is "making love" to his perch (yep...that!!), everyone in my house knows that when he is barking not to go in the room because nobody wants to see him doing that! LOL!! I would post a video but I think it is to obscene!

Yes, he does it as soon as he realizes it is morning! It is really funny to hear him in the morning because I live in a rural area and many of my neighbors have roosters and he can hear them! He already knew how to crow when I got him though.
