I am a new owner of a beautiful fancy green cheek conure named kiwi =)
i just got a new fancy green cheek conure not too long ago. when i got her she had only been hand fed and was barely just getting to know people. shes still afraid of me, but she will eat out of my hand which is definitely a good thing. How do I train her to come to me? or whats the easiest way to teach her the up and down commands? I could really use some advice! :rainbow1:

Patience is all I can tell you. Talk to her quietly and just give her time.

Let her set the pace of how fast she wants to make friends. Talk to her, sing to her, play silly games like peak a boo and sticking out your tongue at each other. My amazon likes to play blink. He does a long, slow blink and then I do. It's a way I can quietly interact with him if another bird is taking a nap. We also do "pet your own face". I pet mine, and then he does his.

I would think your hand raised bird knows the step up command? And is just afraid right not to actually do it? If that is the case, more time will solve that. If she doesn't, you might try bribery. I bribed my budgies into doing it by putting food between my thumb and index finger so they could only reach it by stepping onto my hand. I did this very slowly over a few weeks before I actually started bringing them out to play.
