I haven't been posting for a short while. Between Mac's boot camp training and several medical procedures that I have had to endure over the past couple of weeks, It has been exhausting. But here is the story with Mac:
I have had several procedures done this past couple of weeks pertaining to my heart. Like I keep tellin the doc, it's bad and ain't getting no better so stop the blasted pocking and prodding. But he just won't listen. Plus, I have been trying for the past couple of months to get Mac back into shape with his feather destruction and it has been to where we have been staying up most if not all night with him and not able to go any where to keep him from abusing his feathers.
My wife has been getting exhausted over this as well and told me that we can't go on like this. The last straw for us was when I had a medical procedure done last week and she had to come with me. When we had gotten home Mac had chewed most of the new feathers up. So I found a lady in Ocala who used to work for Parrot Jungle in Miami and is retired and has worked with birds with issues before. She agreed to take Mac and try and work with him. She picked him up on Saturday. MY HEART IS BREAKING HERE I can't believe how much I miss him. So I just haven't been up to it as of late.
She will more than likely keep him if he flourishes there. I'm hoping she will be able to do what I couldn't do for the past two years. I'm not going to visit him while he's there because I don't want to confuse him. But I will get periodic updates on his condition.
