Just got home from a 12hr return trip which took 15hrs giving my new girl rest stops along the way, I'm shattered but we're home woo hoo .
They named her Baby Girl but not sure whether to keep it or not as I didn't see that they interacted to much with her. Vet reckons all aok.

The best way I can put it is she has the serious sh*ts with me, don't think she liked the trip too much but she'll come to love me eventually She hasn't had much human interaction so will probably be an uphill struggle for her to come round but I can wait.

Toos love interaction so once she is at ease with you she will show alot of affection. They love to cuddle and get pet so beware.

she looks gorgeous... and snaky! lol A little TLC and she will be stunning, her feathers are a bit messy, but my galah was in a bit worse condition and her feathers came up beautiful It just took a couple of months of washing and preening and living in a clean roomy environment.

Even most wild born 'too's are fairly easy to "tame" so it shouldn't be too long before you are snuggling that cranky little white chook. Even ill tempered birds are a laugh. My galah is the orneriest female pink chicken around LOL She has a bad temper and a cheeky streak but she is a riot Heaps of fun. Except for when I have a headache LOL

Thanks for the comments guys, she is a typical female hates me near her but have noticed she screams when I leave the room so looking good for the future, reckon its all bravado at the mo. Like the look of MDS be interesting how much they charge for the results

its cheap $20 for a DNA sexing kit. $15 per test I think... or there abouts. So I think I got a DNA sexing test, PBFD test and psitticosis test for $52 or something ridiculously cheap

How much fun is in store for you! I swear my Lola (m2) literally stayed on her campaign of terror for me for 30 days...day 31 she was as sweet as could be and she really has not reverted back to her nasty-self. When I leave the room if I do not talk to her as I am walking into the next room she cries like a baby...it is the most adorable thing!

Thought I might post a bit of an update.
Nina is going well she has started to try and mimick slightly nothing much mostlyI'm playing of her natural sounds. She makes a sound very similar to the word "What" so when she makes it I say it and this goes on for usually 5 - 10 minutes. The same goes with a belly laugh (ha ha hah) sound she makes. She still doesnt want me to close to her yet but is getting a bit better every day, last night was her seed treat night and she was on her food bowl which meant I couldn't put the seed in it so thinking I could use this to my advantage I sat next to the cage away from her and showed her what I had in my hand and verbally teasing her saying if you dont want them guess I'll have to eat them , she still wouldn't move of the bowl so I thought in for a penny in for a pound and put my hand with a small amount of seed in it in the cage and slowly moved it towards her expecting a good sharp bite but to my surprise she ate it from my hand, as it was only a very small amount I did it again, and again she ate from my hand very, very gently so a major improvement in the trust department on her part me thinks.

She is vocal in the morning and evening, about an hour before sunset but with the amount of corellas, sulphurs and galahs around my place I don't even notice to be honest. I also think when she is loud it is to see who is in her territory type thing.

Well major advances today, thought I'd go and risk the fingers and try to have physical contact with Nina, nothing dramatic just scratch her head. She bit a couple of times nothing major, but we ended up with me being allowed to scratch her pretty much anywhere I wanted, at the end I was scratching her using both hands at the same time and she was loving it. I think the trust is coming at a very quick rate of knots now. She has had a couple of trips out of the cage in my living room and loves it, had dramas tonight as she didn't want to go back in, so I had to sort of man handler her in, which went really well, she grabbed my finger in her beak and I waited for the pain but she just held it firmly. I'm still aiming to take it slowly but she has settled in really well and now I am reeping the rewards for my patience.
