Breeder said female, but due to the wing and tail markings, and considerably milder behavior, i suspect it's a male, and I don't want to pluck even 2-3 head feathers that will grow back just to find out.

He can be loud as a Peach-Faced, but not shrill high-pitched, but not as often...often, it's muttering-type sounds.

Here he is finding a way to the bottom of the cage to try to steal food; he is wing-clipped unfortunately (breeder did as apparently it will help with the taming as one can't apparently afford for them to go wild, though he was hand-fed, as this bird bite force is strongest in their species and take a chunk out of you!

Great looks either way! My hit rate is horrible, so I'm not even going to try to guess. DNA testing is very simple and that feather can commonly be harvested as part of a head rubbing as one seems to pop-out from time to time.

What kind of bird is this? He’s cute!
It's an Abysinian Lovebird; it's not endangered, but for some reason there is only about 10% of them aviculture and even rarer in the pet trade, just like the Madagascar.
