1 nanday conure Black Jack, 1 Brotogeris parakeet Whiff, 1 ring neck dove Eliza, and 6 society finches (3 are tame). RIP my parent pairs of societies and my little gouldian finches
hello all! some of you might know that i found very poorly taken care of finches at Pet Supplies Plus. the finch was panting on the cage floor. most of the employees did not know what they were doing and when i asked about the sick finch he said it was pregnant. birds dont get pregnant and there wasnt even a nest in the cage >:(! i went back and bought both finches. one is definitely a male, he was hopping and singing, but i dont have a mane for him yet. The other is presumably a female i named doe. i have to thank lovemytoo for all her help in this rescue and for recomending a wonderful vet i hope to make an appointment with soon. here are the pictures!

Good luck with them. Thanks for rescuing them. Finches are great birds. Fun to watch, and are always peeping and chittering. And always hopping or flying from here to there.

thanks! there so fluffy when they sleep lol

Ann , go to the forum part and click on it , you will see technical issues and a how to
post pictures . See if that helps you :).
I want pictures !!! lolol.

the best i could do was upload them to my album, and posted a link to it, but i'll check that out now. they are surprisingly friendly, i can sit right near the cage and they will come to the front to eat. i stuck a spoon with food on it in the cage and one almost went to eat from it but then i droped the spoon . also sometimes if i chirp to the male i can get him to sing and dance :)

i hate pet supplies plus, doe was on the cage floor last night, and is acting fine now. im getting her checked out tomorrow. also i didnt give them a nest because i didnt want them breeding due to their health, but the other day, they bred. any advice?

I dont know anything about finches but, since Doe may not be in good health yet, I would try to keep them in separate cages but next to each other so as not to upset the pair too much. Until you know more about the health of the female. JMO.

I can't see clearly enough in the pics . what kind of finches are they. and congrats on your new babies. Alison and sweetie pie:D
