Parrots
1 BFA- Kiwi. Hatch circa 98', forever home with us Dec. 08'
So I let Kiwi out this morning to play on his cage, and got this distinct feeling something wasn't quite right. Indeed, there was no parrot in or on the cage:eek:. I hear a "grunt" and look to see he has climbed down OVER the seed guard and gotten in the little gap between the underside of his cage and top of his travel cage. Once found out, he tried desperately to get into the planter next to his cage (don't worry, they're all fake plants). I put him back up on his cage and went back to work when I hear some squealing noises. I look and again, no parrot in the cage, on the cage, under the cage:mad:.... I start looking under furniture or anywhere else he can climb, and finally locate him in the shoe rack chewing the basket we keep scarves in. He'll be sitting on his perch right next to mommy for the rest of the day!

Oh my Pinkybird, how your flock has grown! Is that 14 birds I count!?

How funny! What a silly bird! I love the pix, he is so cute. I love the way amazons are so mischievous, it keeps life interesting.;):D

He looks like he knows he is caught in that first picture! What a funny guy:)

That is too funny! Such a little optimistic bird! :D

He was in such a naughty mood this morning! Thankfully, he spent much of the afternoon taking an adorable little nap. When my husband gets home, he's gunna have a very energetic parrot to contend with :green:

Oh, I have no doubt "it's that goffin". They are the evil Houdini's of the parrot world lol.

Great story. When I change Zack's food and water, I close the doors but don't latch them. Just waiting for the day he figures this out!

Oh yeah, and then when they figure out how to UN-latch the latches it's a whole new ballgame! We were a millitary family and one time when the movers were packing up our house, I walked into the living room to find George standing on top of his cage, reaching out to grab one of the mover's shirts. I guess he was motivated to get in on the action and worked that latch. So crazy. I got him back in and grabbed a dog leash to reinforce the lock that day. Smarty.
