He will!!! It's a really smart move--- I just was thinking it was funny to imagine other birds (after he has had his share).

I am new to the board and I have been following your story. I check every day for an update on Neptune and I am thinking of you and your beautiful little guy. My guy Tony flew away from me once about 20 years ago and thankfully I saw where he landed and after a few hours, we got him back. It was the worst and scariest time and I am so hopeful your story has a happy ending. Whatever happens, you are the best and Neptune knows just how loved he is. We are all here for you.

You and Neptune have been on my heart so much.

We all keep saying, "Don't give up!" And, we mean it.

BUT ALSO. Know that you have done so so much.

DoN't give up - Until, or Unless, You are Ready to.

I am still praying and hoping so much he comes home to you. And maybe he will! Maybe you find him, maybe tomorrow or the next day, or day after!

But IF IF you come to the point where You feel Ready to stop looking -- or even to take a break from searching-- then it will be the right time to do so.

I encourage you to continue searching -- as Long as You still feel willing to do so. But IF IF he has not returned (and I am praying he does!) and you reach the point of need-to-stop, or even just ready-to-stop -- then Do So. IF IF you get to that point, you will be full of sorrow I know - and I know you are full of sorrow now also - but, tell Guilt to Shut-UP. You have done - and currently are doing - SO MUCH. And even though guilt and self-blame wants to creep-in (or come barrelling-in!), that's the one emotion that is Not valid. You need to know that.

I am continuing to pray for you, and for Neptune, and for all your birds.

I took a couple of days off as I duo feel well,
I keep trying
My search area is daunting,....
All sightings are behind the first loop of the subdivision and the river... tho I walk or drive and stop all of the road behind the full subdivision sbd the subdivision itself. It’s swamp woods so I can’t walk the woods it’s truest wild and I hope providing food for my bsby

I hope that you feel better soon, Laura. It's good that you took those couple days off, as you have to take care of yourself as well. You've been so strong through all of this, and you're doing all that you can.

I know the search area is daunting. Even overwhelming. But remember that you've set up a network of people to keep their eyes out for him. Which means that you're not alone, my friend.

And we're all here for you in spirit, even while wishing we could be there for you in person.

I’m still looking, read some great recovery stories after long times lost...
So I keep trying
Me someone who saw a different bird flying real fast, I choose to believe that was Neptune 2 days ago
As it’s in the same place
Also in same place about a week ago I once saw a bird fly fast high over my head I was in woods... but it did look like a parrot ( my guy) ( not 100% sure) but he was headed across the creek into swap woods no place for me to be able to get, I gotta rents boat sbd driver see if I can work that swamp creek.......

Does anyone know the flight patterns of wild Quaker’s? Or how to find that info?
Like do they fly high when traveling between areas of their range? Or do they do short flights from tree to tree?

One time I thought I saw him fly over but he was a good 20 feet above the tops of (40-60 feet trees) and flying fast.....

I’m just trying to come up with behavior and strategy for finding him in deep woods, that are a bog and not walkable
