New member introduction

Hello!
I just registered and posted in the cockatoos section. I unexpectedly became a parrot mom. Bianca is 40 years old and a rescue. A previous owner abused her and caused damage to her wings so she can’t fly. We became friends and now it appears that she chose me as her owner. I will adopt her from her current owners, who are friends of mine and rescued her from the abusive environment, and I will take her with me once I move out of their home.

A lot to figure out for sure, but I feel like she trusts me to take care of her and I won’t let her down. I’m glad I found this forum!
