Citron Crested Cockatoo (Lucky)
I have an African Grey and a Citron crested Cockatoo. One thing I've always struggled with is how expensive their toys are, and then how quickly they rip them to shreds (cockatoo especially!) Recently I reviewed some toys that are hand made, very durable, safe, and also affordable (a combination that's been hard to come by for me). I'm very impressed on all levels, check it out

this looks just like maggie!
, whose previous owner didn't want him any more and a green-cheeked conure, Jack, who was handled for 5+ years with only an oven mitt. Recenlty, I rescued a blue fronted Amazon parrot who is severely malnourished and had all of her wing feathers trimmed off.
She is 3 1/2 years old and we changed her name to Angel. When I got her, the lady who trimmed her nails watched as her nails/claws began falling apart and shredding in her hands. It was sad, but I took her home and within 2 days, she is already bonding with me. She has fit into our family very well. Hoping to obtain tips and advice on caring for a larger bird!
