Hi! I'm not at all a newbie bird owner. I've been living in a flock since birth pretty much.. Right now I currently own:

Sprite & Sierra: Parakeets :yellow2: :whiteblue:
Skuttle: Cockatiel :yellow1:
Toshae: Cockatoo :white1:
Apollo: A Pineapple Green Cheek Conure, also my newest:) :rainbow1:
Sydney: My soon to come Eclectus

I'm 17 and want to be an avian vet:09:

Hi welcome! I have just got a baby eckie =) awesome little flock you have, pics!!

Welcome! What kind of Cockatoo do you have? Yes, I can see why you would want to be an avian vet, you certainly love birds.:D

Welcome to the forum! I love you avatar pic. I second Maria, what species of cockatoo you have? Also which sub species of eclectus are you soon to have

Enjoy the forum, lots of awesome people here :D

welcome to your flock! I hope you realise your dream to become a vet and enjoy your membership here.

Thank You! And Toshae is a sulphur crested, but I had no idea Eckies had sub-species??? :52:

The sub species are the Solomon island(SI), red sided, and the largest is the Vos.
All are slightly different, but similar. My favourite is the vos sub species, the females are more purple with yellow tipped tails

There's also 3 sulfur created sub species ;) the greater, medium, and lesser. I think the lesser is also called Elanora's or Elanore

G'day, BirdMum, good to see you here, good luck with your career choice :)

Welcome to the Forum.
You have a awfully large mix of birds and temperaments must keep you on your toes and with a Ekkie on the way. I have a Ekkie (my baby) 5 Indian ringnecks and a very special lorikeet he's a dusky Lorie.
Hope the forum helps you and your flock.
