Hi,
Boy am I ever glad to find this forum.
I am the mom to Josey, a male CAG that I've had since 1998. I call him a rescue because the people I bought him from were afraid of him, he had never been trained and his first instinct was to bite. He still won't step up but he's a really mellow, loving guy... He's definitely a mommas boy.
I received my daughters Eclectus today... She's had him since he was a baby and he loves her but Rajah has started this horrendous screeching thing and with a baby in the house, it was too much for her. So now I have started researching the screeching thing and I think I've discovered 1 thing that may be part of the problem. It may be the easiest fix and I'm going to start working on it tomorrow - diet...
So between the two parrots, 4 cats and the dog... I think I'm nuts... but at least they know I'm quirky and love me anyway...
Thank you for this forum.
